  • Seussical KIDS - Elementary Show 2A and 2B – TWO SESSIONS (completed 2nd-5th grade)

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold — not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! • Jesus Christ Superstar - High School Intensive - Audition Only (completed 9th-12th grade):

What’s the buzz? The first musical by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber to be produced for the professional stage, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years. A timeless work, the rock opera is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.

The iconic 1970s rock score contains such well-known numbers as “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” and “Gethsemane.” A true global phenomenon and Superstar continues to touch new generations of audiences and performers.

Auditions are January 25th and Callbacks are February 1st.

Following Into the Woods and Pippin’s footsteps, Jesus Christ Superstar will once again be performed at our favorite offsite location! The first two weeks of rehearsal will be held at MTC. The last week and performances of Jesus Christ Superstar will take place at the Little Theatre within Hopkins High School.

    M-F July 27-August 14, 8:30am-4pm

    Performances (4): August 14 @ 7pm, August 15 @ 1pm & 7pm and August 16 @ 2pm
