We are back again this year with our second Elementary Junior show! This elementary fall theatre intensive culminates in a 60-minute JR musical, with three performances.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Disney’s Dare to Dream JR. is a 60-minute musical revue that follows an eager group of trainees on their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio. As the group sets out to help each other discover their dreams, they work together to explore the power of dreams to unite, inspire, and make anything possible. Drawing from a century of beloved Disney films, Dare to Dream JR. features songs appearing for the first time ever in a Disney stage musical, including fan-favorites from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, and Frozen II.

After the success of Newsies, MTC is back with our FOURTH community theatre production! AND DRUM ROLL PLEASE….. this year we will perform at the Edina Performing Arts Center! This will be our biggest community production yet! We cannot wait to invite community members of all ages and backgrounds to join us.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Emma didn’t want to be a newspaper headline or the face of a movement; she just wanted to take her girlfriend Alyssa to their high school prom. But just when it seems like she might persuade the hesitant PTA, four bumbling Broadway has-beens in search of relevance barge into Edgewater, Indiana to put a spotlight on the issue — and themselves. As the worlds of Broadway and Main Street hilariously collide, the courage of one girl reminds us all of the power of love to bring us together. With non-stop laughs and show-stopping dance numbers, The Prom is a feel-good musical with a message that is even more relevant today.

This year we have added a Middle School Musical Theatre dance class along with our favorite High School MT dance class. It’s time to hone your dance skills! We will focus on a variety of techniques and show styles. This is a great opportunity to strengthen your dance foundation and challenge yourself to try new styles of dance!

It’s our popular pop-up favorite where we’ll learn music and choreography from three memorable Broadway hits to perform as a part of the Community Variety Show! No auditions necessary, just a great way for young theatre artists to get involved at MTC!

It’s your chance to take the stage in our Variety Show! All ages are invited to perform in our community variety show! Prepare a solo, duet, group number or skit and then on with the show! Grab a friend or family member and join us. The more variety the better!

This year we are bringing back our Winter Workshop for some MTC fun over winter break! During this three day camp, students will learn music and choreography to three popular Broadway songs. After the last class, students will perform all they learned for friends and family!
