Fall JR Show
James and the Giant Peach JR (6th-9th)

This middle school fall theatre intensive culminates in a 60-minute musical, with three performances.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale.  Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic.

Auditions: 9/5, 6:30-9pm
Rehearsals: Sundays 9/7 - 12/4, 1:00 - 5:00pm
Performances: 12/5 + 12/6

Tuition: $525 (Need-based partial and full scholarships available. Please inquire for an application.)

Fall Elementary Show
Elephant and Piggie’s We Are In A Play (2nd-5th)

This elementary fall theatre intensive culminates in a 30-minute kids musical, with three performances.

ABOUT THE SHOW: An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are "bestus" friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She's even happier and more excited than usual because they have been invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. And so begins a day when anything is possible.

Auditions: 8/26, 6:30 - 8:30pm
Rehearsal: Tues/Thurs 9/2 - 10/9, 6:30 - 8:30pm & Sats 9/6-10/4, 9:30am - 12:00pm
Performances: 10/10 + 10/11

Fall Elementary Workshops (2nd-5th)

It’s another pop-up favorite where we’ll learn music and choreography from three memorable Broadway hits. Students will perform as a part of the Community Variety Show.

Session A: Tuesdays 10/21 - 11/18, 6:00 - 8:00pm
Session B: Thursdays 10/23 - 11/20, 6:00 - 8:00pm

Variety Show (Workshop Campers & All ages!)

Tired of cheering from the audience? It’s your turn! All ages are invited to perform in our community variety show! How it works: prepare a song or skit and then on with the show!

Rehearsal: 11/19 5:00 - 8:00pm
Performances: 11/21 + 11/22, 7:00pm

Musical Theatre Dance (9th-12th)

It’s time to hone our dance skills! This class will focus on the styles of jazz and tap through technique and show styles. Experience: advanced beginner to intermediate.

Mondays: 9/15 - 11/17, 7:00 - 8:30pm

Tuition: $185 (Need-based partial and full scholarships available. Please inquire for an application.)

Winter Workshop (2nd-5th)

And another pop-up of MTC fun over winter break! After the last class, students will perform all they learned for friends and family.

Workshop: 12/28 - 12/30, 1:00 - 4:30 pm
Performance: 12/30, 5:00pm

Community Theatre Production
Newsies (Grades 3rd-Adults)

We are thrilled to be back from our THIRD community theatre production! We look forward to MTC youth, parents, community members and more to come together to take the stage next spring.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots). Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience.
